This Privacy Policy explains how Appliance Rescue Team ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.appliance-rt.com (the "Site") or contact us for appliance repair services.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you call, text, email, submit a form, or request service, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, and details about your appliance and the repair you need.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar usage data through cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and understand how it is used. Specifically, we use:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — to understand Site traffic and usage. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Google Ads — we may use Google Ads conversion and remarketing tags in the future to measure and target advertising. If we do, you will be able to manage ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — we may use this in the future to measure and target advertising on Facebook and Instagram. If we add it, we will update this policy.

A cookie notice on the Site lets you know these technologies are in use. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

Forms and other third-party services on the Site

Some parts of the Site are provided by third parties, and using them means your browser contacts those companies directly. They receive your IP address and basic technical data, and each handles it under its own privacy policy:

  • Web3Forms — processes and delivers our contact and service-request forms. Anything you type into a form (name, phone, email, address, appliance details, message) passes through Web3Forms on its way to our inbox.
  • Google Maps — the service-area map is an embedded Google Maps frame.
  • Google Fonts — the Site's typeface is loaded from Google's font service.
  • Google Business Profile, Instagram and review widgets — where we display reviews or photos from our Google Business Profile or Instagram, that content is loaded from Google or Meta.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry, schedule and provide appliance repair services, and follow up on your job.
  • To send you service-related messages (see "Text messages" below).
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site and our services.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, with your consent where required.

Text messages (SMS)

If you provide your phone number, we may contact you by phone call or text message about your specific service request. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. We do not currently send promotional or marketing text messages; if we introduce marketing texts in the future, we will obtain your separate prior express written consent before sending them.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate the Site and our business — for example our website host, our form provider (Web3Forms), and our analytics provider (Google) — and with parts suppliers or manufacturers where that is needed to complete a repair or a warranty claim. We may also share information when required by law or to protect our rights.

We keep records of the work we do — your contact details, service address, appliance and repair history — for as long as we need them to support the repair, honor any warranty on it, and meet our tax and legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to opt out of certain uses of your information.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
